Step back and reflect for a moment. Imagine your life without Seinfeld. Can you do it? We are constantly talking about television shows that impact our life. Is it exaggeration or are we for real? Did the show impact our life? When talking about Seinfeld, I think it is safe to say that the show has impacted not only the lives of the viewers but also the world. During it's prime the show spent time attracting a generation that was so self-absorbed with themselves and getting ahead in the world that it worked. But who would have thought that almost twenty years later [yes, I am exaggerating here] the show STILL has an impact. People mentioned the show may be out of date, but the way the group of friends reacts to the situations are the same. We see millennial's doing the same thing today. We are self-absorbed in our own thing and yes we care about certain things, but we are selfish generation consumed by social media. There is definitely a generational gap between these two, but it works. It works obviously because the show is generating close to three BILLION dollars as it is in it's fifth syndication run. Thank you syndication.
Our world has been changed because of the creative minds of Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld. The writers developed our world and made it what it is today. If Seinfeld were to come together for an official reunion it would be awkward because everyone has gotten so old and moved on with their lives. The show would not pick up where it left off. I would say it would be twenty plus years later. Why ruin a good thing?
Both generations have are brought together through laughter. And generations will continue to join together and watch while an immoral insane group of friends dissect the daily minutiae of everyday life over a cup of coffee. We will continue to laugh and find these moments within our own lives.
Always remember the laughter is real and... it is spectacular!
